Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to call to your attention to and invite you to attend the Fall Institute in Digital Libraries & Humanities (FIDLH).  In case you are unable to follow the link (I am currently reduced to using a webmail access point), the web address is http://etc.hil.unb.ca/fidlh/

The Fall Institute in Digital Libraries & Humanities will be held  25-27 September, 2008 at the Electronic Text Centre at UNB Libraries, University of New Brunswick, Fredericton, NB.  FIDLH is sponsored by the Electronic Text Centre at the University of New Brunswick and the Acadia Digital Culture Observatory at Acadia University. 

The institute will feature sessions on digital imaging and data conversion, XML markup, Institutional Repositories (IRs), and the Open Journal System (OJS) for journal management. In addition, researchers from Atlantic Canada will present lectures on digital humanities research and projects.

Please join us for the first of what we plan to be many years of enjoyable and educational engagement in digital humanities issues of interest to everyone.
