[SDH/SEMI Members] Press Release Announcing MCRI for SDH/SEMI President (English)

Dear Colleagues,

I am writing to make you aware of an announcement recognizing the  
important work being led by our Society's English-language president,  
Ray Siemens.   The announcement describing the "Implementing the New  
Knowledge Environment" project (INKE) is attached to this note.  It  
was released today during a public presentation in which the Social  
Sciences & Humanities Research Council of Canada, the University of  
Victoria, and Canada's Minister of State (Science and Technology)  
recognized the successful applications to SSHRC's Major Collaborative  
Research Initiative program, of which the INKE project is one of only  
four.

Digital Humanities is becoming increasingly high profile, and we can  
add Ray's name to the list of others we can thank for this positive  
recognition.
